THE DIAGRAPH ANALYSIS IN THE RESEARCH OF THE ARTS AS COMMUNICATION

Abstract: 
The paper demonstrates the effectiveness of diagraph analysis for the research of heterogeneous discursive space characterized by the interplay of the source text and its multimodal transformations. Using drama (a play and its theatrical performance) as an example of this kind of space the author demonstrates the ability of the diagraph method to solve a number of research tasks for monomodal (a play) and multimodal (a theatrical performance) types of discourse.
